Minimum qualifications :

BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience).

Preferred qualifications :

  • 1 year relevant work experience, including demonstrated experience troubleshooting applications in UNIX/Linux/Mac/Windows; experience deploying and supporting desktops/laptops, phone systems, video conferencing and various wireless devices.

  • Experience with scripting languages (i.e. Python).

Responsibilities :

  • Troubleshoot and problem solve issues for Google's corporate resources, tools, operating systems and applications both locally and remotely.
  • Work with service owners and customer teams to plan and implement service and application upgrades and changes.
  • Develop solutions to operational and user productivity issues via automation or process improvements.
  • Support IT infrastructure related projects such as server or network upgrades, and office relocations and expansions.
  • Travel occasionally to provide IT support in distributed offices.

Position Summary :
This person will be an integral member of the team that builds/customize NCR's award-winning products and services. We are looking for a Test Lead capable individual who has strong computer science fundamentals to join our team of product testing professionals. We are looking for a result oriented, ambitious and innovative candidate who will provide testing support to different aspects of the software development lifecycle:
  • Software Design and specification - Prepare test strategy and design test cases
  • Test Management: Assist project manager for preparing test plans
  • Testing - Rigorous testing to ensure that product meets the business requirements.

Responsibilities :
The Test Lead is responsible for ensuring that solutions meet business needs by :
  • Defining the overall test plan & strategy for the projects they are assigned to, in conjunction with the project teams.
  • Defining and executing an effective integration test plan, including supporting documentation.
  • Create the software integration test specifications inline with the different stacks of CIT Applications.
  • Prepare Test Logs, maintain Test Results and monitor & control Test Progress.
  • Identifying, characterising and reporting defects found during testing
  • Drive the automation of test execution by making effective use of BRIDGE:test tool.
  • Publish the test metrics in the Test Dashboard.
  • Reviewing technical documentation (e.g. information products and customer training) as required.
  • Working with the development teams and other test engineers to encourage the use of best practice test tools and techniques throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Building and developing knowledge of available test practices and tools
  • Continuously identifying lessons learned and opportunities for improvement during the course of the project and providing feedback to the project team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 8 years of experience in Software Testing
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in the Software Development Process, software testing life cycle and software configuration management as they relate to the process.
  • Can work with minimal guidance and show initiative.
  • Work on projects of medium to high complexity, and exercise judgment within defined procedures & practices to determine appropriate action
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good resource and time management skills to successfully work on and drive multiple tasks at one time
  • Prior experiencing of leading a group of test engineers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Preference would be given to candidates with:
  • prior experience with testing in Finance and Retail domains
  • product development lifecycle exposure
  • ability to do complex problem characterisation
  • be able to mentor others
  • Working knowledge on QC, QTP and Optimal Trace
  • ISTQB or equivalent Certification
  • Windows (XP and 7)
  • QA experience with system level testing

  • Networking setup and troubleshooting (e.g. TCP/IP, RS323, SSL)
  • Payment network experience (electronic payment processing including network specifications, data validation, card types, etc.)
