RECRUITMENT OF 1434 ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER IN PUBLIC SECTOR GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANIES Last Date : 3rd August 2013

National Insurance Company invites application on behalf of four Public Sector General Insurance Companies with a combined human resource base of 65651 having 6116 offices/business centres in every nook & corner of the Country with a total Premium Income of Rs.35000 crores for the year 2012-13, for recruitment of 1434 (One thousand four hundred & thirty four) Officers in Scale I cadre from open market.

The Important Dates:

Publication of Advertisement in Emp. News : 14th July 2013
On line Registration commences from : 16th July 2013
Last Date for Registration of Online Applications : 3rd August 2013
Payment of Application fees : 17th July 2013 to 7th August 2013 (both date inclusive)
Dates of Written Examination : 8th September 2013
Download of the call letter for examination : Within 7 days prior to the date of examination

Candidates should apply through only On-Line mode only. No other means/mode of application will be accepted.

Emoluments & Benefits:

Basic pay of Rs.17,240/- in the scale of Rs.17,240-840(14)-29,000-910(4)-32640 and other admissible allowance as applicable. Total emoluments will be above Rs.34,000/- plus in Metropolitan Centers. Other benefits are Pension under New Pension Scheme governed by PFRDA. Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident and Group Savings Linked Insurance Scheme (GSLI) etc as shall be as per rules. The Officers are also entitled for Company’s/leased accommodation as per norms. With Major Benefits beside the total emoluments, the CTC works out to approximately to Rs.5.10 lacs per annum at Metro centers.

Educational Qualification as on 31.07.2013 :

For Generalist Stream, a candidate must possess the minimum qualification of a Degree in any discipline from a recognized University OR any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government.
For Specialist Stream, a candidate must possess the minimum qualification of Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University OR any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government.

Selection Procedure : 

Candidates will be called for a written examination to be held on 8th September 2013 which would comprise the following :
For Generalist :
  • Test of Reasoning : 25
  • Test of English Language : 25
  • Test of General Awareness : 25
  • Test of Numerical Ability & Computer Literacy : 25
  • Test in English language comprising of : Essay, Précis & Comprehension : 50
TOTAL (Aggregate) : 150 marks
Duration : 180 mins.
Among which, the Test in English Language will be of descriptive type. 

For Specialist :
  • Test of Reasoning : 20
    Test of English Language : 20
  • Test of General Awareness : 20
  • Test of Numerical Ability & Computer Literacy : 20
  • Technical& professional knowledge in the relevant discipline : 20
  • Test in English language comprising of : Essay, Précis & Comprehension : 50
TOTAL (Aggregate) : 150 marks
Duration : 180 mins.
Among which, the Test in English Language will be of descriptive type.

Note :

  1. For both Generalist & Specialist English Descriptive Test answer booklets will only be evaluated of those candidates who qualify in the objective type of tests. The various qualifying cut-off percentage will be at the discretion of the Company.
  2. There will be negative marks for wrong answer in objective test. 1/4th of the allotted marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Application Fee (Non-Refundable) :

  • SC/ ST / PWDRs. : Rs. 170/-
  • All candidates other than SC/ST/PWD : Rs. 470/-

How to apply : 

Guidelines for filling online application: Candidates should have valid email ID. This will help him/her in getting call letter/Interview advices etc. by e-mail.
  1. Candidates should first scan their photograph and signature as detailed under guidelines for scanning the photograph and signature.(Refer point no.12)
  2. Candidates to visit our website “www.nationalinsuranceindia.com” and open the appropriate Online Application Format given under Recruitment” Link.
  3. Candidates must go through Advertisement very carefully and satisfy themselves that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria mentioned in the Advertisement. Thereafter, they should proceed for applying. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  4. Candidates should upload their photograph and signature while filling the application. After the application is filled complete, candidate should submit the application form.
  5. The system would generate a bank challan in triplicate wherein relevant particulars of the Candidate are mentioned and should take a printout of the challan immediately.
  6. With the printout of the challan, the Candidate should visit the nearest branch of State Bank of India to deposit the appropriate fees in cash only in Account no.32968716721 in favour of ‘NATIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY LTD’. Fee payment will be accepted from 17th July 2013 to 7th August 2013.
  7. After 3 days from date of receipt of fees, the candidate can check their application status in the website and take a printout of the complete application and fees payment challan which should be retained by them for future reference.
  8. At the time of written examination, they should submit one copy of the challan.

The candidates are not required to send the application form to the Company.

RECRUITMENT OF 2600 ASSISTANTS IN FOUR PUBLIC SECTOR GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANIES




National Insurance Company Limited invites applications from eligible Indian Citizens on behalf of all the four Public Sector General Insurance Companies with a combined human resource base of 65651 having 6116 offices/business centres in every nook & corner of the Country with total Premium Income of Rs.35000 crores for the year 2012-13 for recruitment of 2600 (Two thousand six hundred) Assistants in Cass III Cadre from open market.
National Insurance Company Limited would coordinate the written examination, thereafter, Interview and Computer Proficiency Test for the short-listed candidates would be conducted by each Company in their respective zones where their Head Office is situated (except in certain cases).

  • On line Registration commences from 18th May 2013
  • Last Date for Registration of Online Applications 8th June 2013
  • Payment of Application fees 18th May 2013 to 12th June 2013 (both date inclusive)
  • Dates of Written Examination 14th July 2013 and/or 21st July 2013
  • Download of the call letter for examination Within 7 days prior to the date of examination

Company may conduct Written Test on more than one date, if need be.
Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State only and will have to appear for Written Test from a centre of that particular state. For example, candidate applying against vacancies in West Bengal State can appear from West Bengal only and would be considered for employment in that State only, in any of four companies.

1. Scale of Pay (Pre-revision) :

2. Emoluments : 

Total emoluments (Pre-revision) works out to approximately Rs.15000/- per month in the initial stage in a metro city. Other Allowance may vary depending upon the place of posting. Apart from allowances other benefits such as lump sum domiciliary medical benefit, membership of Group Mediclaim Policy for Reimbursement of hospitalisation expenses, leave travel subsidy and other staff welfare schemes would be as per the rules of the Companies.

3. Educational Qualification (as on 31.05.2013) :

  • Graduate from a recognized University OR
  • Pass in HSC/Equivalent (XII pass) examination with 60% marks (50% for Ex-servicemen, SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities);
  • and Knowledge of Regional Language i.e. Language of the State of Recruitment is essential.
