IBPS CWE PO/MT-III Notification / Last Date : 12th August

COMMON WRITTEN EXAMINATION [CWE] FOR 
RECRUITMENT OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS/ MANAGEMENT TRAINEES 
 IN PARTICIPATING ORGANISATIONS 

Eligibility :

  • Degree (Graduation) with 60% (55% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. 
  • Candidates belonging to SC / ST/ PWD categories filling in “unreserved” vacancies will not be entitled to the relaxation of 5% marks mentioned above. 
  • Computer Literacy : Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.

Job Description :

The next Common Written Examination (CWE PO/MT-III) as a pre-requisite for selection of personnel for Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts in the Participating Organisations listed below will be conducted online by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) tentatively in October 2013. 
Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the Participating Organisations listed at (A) as a Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee or in a similar post in that cadre, is required to register for the Common Written Examination (CWE PO/MT-III). Candidates who appear and are shortlisted in the examination, will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by IBPS. Depending on the available vacancies in Participating organisations, candidates shortlisted will be allotted to one of the Participating Organisations keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, administrative convenience, etc. 
This system of Common Written Examination, interview and allotment for recruitment of Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts in Participating Organisations has the approval of the appropriate authorities. IBPS, an autonomous body, has received a mandate from the organisations mentioned at (A) below, to conduct the recruitment process as mentioned above, once a year. Prospective candidates will have to apply to IBPS after carefully reading the advertisement regarding the process of examination, interview and allotment, eligibility criteria, online registration processes, payment of prescribed application fee/ intimation charges, pattern of examination, issuance of call letters etc. and ensure that they fulfil the stipulated criteria and follow the prescribed processes.

ICICI BANK Probationary Officer Training Programme November 2013


Probationary Officer Training Programme :


Probationary Officer Training Programme is an initiative of ICICI Bank to attract young talent who wish to pursue a career in banking. It is designed to develop specialists with banking knowledge and skills to fulfill the future need of trained bankers.
It is a one year full time residential training programme, conducted at ICICI Manipal Academy campus, Bangalore. Applicants joining the Probationary Officer Training Programme will be enrolled for MBA in Banking and Finance with Manipal University, an UGC recognized University.
Since its inception in 2007 more than 6,800 students have joined the Bank and currently 1,900 students are undergoing the training at the ICICI Manipal Academy Campus in Bangalore.

MBA (Banking & Finance) program consists of two phases :

Phase I (12 months): This phase comprises of 9 months of on-campus classroom training & 3 months of internship in ICICI Bank. Upon successful completion of this phase, participants are awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking (PGDB).
Salient Features of Probationary Officer Training Programme:
The training has a blended curriculum with instructor led classroom sessions, e-learning and internship at ICICI Bank branches/offices.
The training imparts knowledge and skills in core banking (banking products,banking operations, channels and customers, receipts and payments, etc). The trainees will have the opportunity to specialize in one of the following areas in banking:
  1. Trade Finance & CMS.
  2. Branch & Relationship Management.
  3. Private Banking & Wealth Management.
  4. Rural and Inclusive Banking.
  5. Any other Profile as decided by ICICI Bank.

  • The participants are put through a very rigorous training with special emphasis on application of knowledge and overall development of personality.
  • The classroom sessions (9 months) are conducted at the ICICI Manipal Academy and internship (3 months ) at any ICICI Bank branch or office (within India).
  • The Probationary Officers are paid stipend for the first 9 months to meet the out of pocket expenses and a higher stipend during internship.
  • The Probationary Officers will get an assured employment with ICICI Bank on successful completion of the Probationary Officer Training Programme.
  • The faculty is comprised of experienced professionals in the domain of banking and finance and behavioral sciences. There is a special focus on the overall grooming of the individuals and that is further facilitated through a learning environment that is created through lectures delivered by experts from ICICI Bank and the banking industry.
  • The campus is equipped with the best educational infrastructure e.g. air-conditioned classrooms, video conferencing rooms, auditorium, well stocked library, boarding and lodging facilities, recreation and sports facilities, etc. The residential nature of the programme ensures that the Probationary Officers imbibe the culture and values of ICICI Group.
  • Phase II [Optional] (18-30 months): This phase comprises of 18 months of Online Training (3 Semesters). It is designed to provide managerial skills to the students. This phase commences after the students join the Bank. It provides an opportunity to complete the training programme while working. On completion of this phase by participants who opt for it and pay the requisite fee, an MBA( Banking and Finance) is awarded by the Manipal University. Students have the option of completing Phase II in 30 months. MBA degree will be conferred only on the successful completion of both Phase I and Phase II.

TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR GRADUATES IN JAMMU & KASHMIR AND RECRUITMENT FOR THE POSTS OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS & PROBATIONARY CLERKS THE SPECIAL INDUSTRY INITIATIVE-JAMMU & KASHMIR SCHEME


  • Special Industry Initiative for the State of Jammu & Kashmir (SII-J&K) – Udaan aims at;
  • Skill development and employability of the youth in Jammu & Kashmir;
  • Unemployed residents of J&K who have done Graduation or above will be covered under this scheme;
  • A Residential Training Programme for Skill development will be conducted for the identified graduate youth of J&K, from amongst those enrolled for the training;
  • 300 Candidates will be shortlisted initially for Training based on academics / written test and /or interview, in co-ordination with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Govt of Jammu & Kashmir;
  • Duration of the training will be 3 months leading to a certification at the end;
  • Bank will be conducting selection process for successful candidates for recruitment to the posts of 135 Probationary Officers and 15 Probationary Clerks; and
  • The 150 candidates who came out successful in the selection process, post training, will be appointed in the Bank.
