Experience :

Experience in the related field will be considered during the selection process.

Job Description :

Age limit (as on 31/07/2013): 

Not above 27 years as on 31/07/2013 i.e. applicants must have been born on or after 01/08/1986 (Relaxable by 10 years for PWD candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates). There is no age limit for internal candidates.

MODE OF SELECTION: 

Mode of selection will be On-Line Examination and Interview as under:

• On-Line Examination: 

An on-line examination of Objective type (Multiple Choice) for 200 marks will tentatively be held on Sunday, 15/09/2013. 
The examination will consist of sections for

1. English Language, 
2. Quantitative Aptitude,
3. Reasoning ability and
4. General Awareness. 

Candidates would have to secure minimum marks separately for each section as decided by SEBI, based on Group Performance.

• Interview: 

Candidates will be short-listed for interview based on the aggregate marks obtained in the online examination. SEBI reserves the right to modify the selection procedure, if deemed fit.

Remuneration: 

The incumbent will be on a scale of pay of Officer Grade A in the scale of Rs. 17100-1000(11)-28100-EB-1000(4)-32100-1100(1)-33200.

Presently, the gross emolument including Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Family Allowance, Local Allowance etc. at Mumbai at the minimum of this scale is approx Rs. 65,000/- p.m. without accommodation and Rs. 45,000/- p.m. with accommodation.

Other benefits viz LFC, Medical Expenses (both declaration and nondeclaration), Financial Dailies, Book Grant, Briefcase, Vehicle Maintenance, House Cleaning Allowance, Entertainment Allowance, Health Check up, Eye Refraction Test, Subsidized Lunch Facility and all other benefits as admissible to an Officer in Grade A in SEBI.

SELECTION PROCESS : 

Eligible candidates will have to appear for All India based Online Selection Test. Based on the

ABOUT TEST : 

The All India ONLINE Test is scheduled on 04.08.2013 The test can be taken in Hindi or English. Candidates will have to give their choice for appearing in Hindi or English at the time 

of applying for the post, which cannot be changed subsequently. The test will be in two parts. 

Part-I will consist of 70 multiple-choice questions of finance. Part-II will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions on Executive Aptitude Test. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each 

wrong / multiple answered questions. The test will be of two hour duration.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE :

PLACEMENT : 

The selected candidates shall undergo one year training at various places. The region in which the selected candidates will be posted will be decided at the time of joining, however final place of posting in that region will be allocated after successful completion of training based on the performance during the training and requirement at each location. Candidates can be placed, across the country, at projects/ stations including joint ventures & subsidiary companies of NTPC.

2. Candidate belonging to General/OBC category is required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 500/-. The SC / ST / PH category candidate need not pay the registration fee. 
3. State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the registration fee, in a specially opened account (No. 30987919993) at CAG branch, New Delhi (Code: 09996), on behalf of NTPC. Candidate has to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the “pay-in-slip” which is available on the application registration portal. The pay-in-slip printed from the portal should only be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account. On receipt of the money the bank will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the bank collecting the money. This journal number and the branch code are to be filled up by the candidate during online registration. NTPC will not be responsible, in case a candidate deposits the fee in wrong account. There will not be any other mode of payment of registration amount. 
4. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the registration fee. 
5. While applying Online, candidate should keep the scanned copy of their passport size colour photograph and their signature in JPEG format of not more than 500 KB size each. 
6. After applying online, candidate is required to download the registration slip generated by the system with unique registration number. Candidates are required to keep the printout of the Registration slip which will be required at the time of Group Discussion and Personal Interview if short listed for.
