SELECTION PROCESS :

Eligible candidates will have to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2014. Based on the GATE-2014 MARKS and requirement, candidates will be short listed for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates need to secure minimum qualifying marks in GD & Interview, before being considered in the merit list.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE : 

  • NTPC Ltd. offers one of the best pay packages in the industry. Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 24900-3%-50500 at the basic pay of Rs. 24900/- during one-year training. 
  • These candidates will be absorbed after successful completion of training as Assistant Manager in the pay scale of Rs. 24900-3%-50500 at a basic pay of Rs. 25650/-. 
  • Besides basic pay candidates will also be paid Dearness Allowance and will also be entitled for other perquisites & allowances under cafeteria approach. 
  • Benefits such as leave, medical treatment, Provident Fund, Gratuity, etc will be admissible as per company rules in force from time to time during training / after absorption. 

PLACEMENT : 

The selected candidates shall undergo one year training at various places. The region in which the selected candidates will be posted, will be decided at the time of joining, however final place of posting in that region will be allocated only after successful completion of class room training basedon the performance during the training and requirement at each location.   2. Candidates need to apply Online for GATE as per the information provided on the websites. They should wait for the admit card to get the GATE registration number 
  3. The candidates will receive their GATE-2014 Registration Number printed on their admit card. On receipt of GATE registration number, the candidates need to apply On-line for NTPC ET-2014 on the website www.ntpccareers.net from 20.12.2013 to 18.01.2014. 
  4. Candidate belonging to General/OBC category is required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 150/-. The SC / ST / PWD category candidate need not pay the registration fee. 
  5. State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the registration fee, in a specially opened account (No. 30987919993) at CAG branch, New Delhi, on behalf of NTPC. Candidate has to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the “pay-in-slip” which is available on the application registration portal. The pay-in-slip printed from the portal should only be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account. On receipt of the money, the bank will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the bank collecting the money. This journal number and the branch code are to be filled up by the candidate during online registration. NTPC will not be responsible in case the candidate deposits the fee in a wrong account. There will not be any other mode of payment of registration fee. 
  6. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the registration fee. 
  7. Read the instructions carefully and fill-in the On-line application form giving accurate information including the GATE-2014 registration number and payment details. After successful registration, system will generate a Unique Application Number. Candidates are required to keep the printout of the Application slip which will be generated by the system after successful registration. 
  8. Please ensure that the GATE registration number, which is mentioned on your GATE Admit card, is filled up correctly. Name should also be filled up as appearing in GATE Admit card. Job Description :

  • Assistant officers/ Assistant Engineers are newly introduced positions in IndianOil. They will be recruited as regular executives in the Corporation. 
  • Postings will predominantly be to manage day to day operations in the divisions. 
  • The positions will be mostly in marketing operations at Terminals/ Depots/ LPG Bottling Plants/ Aviation Fuelling Stations (AFS) and pipelines projects etc. 
  • Selected candidates may be posted/ transferred to any Division / Unit / Subsidiary Company/ Office of the Corporation.

Remuneration :

  • Candidates selected as Assistant Officers/ Assistant Engineers will receive a starting basic pay of Rs. 20,600/-per month. In addition, the selected candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances, according to the rules of the Corporation in force, as amended from time to time. 
  • Other allowances / benefits include HRA / subsidized housing accommodation (depending upon place of posting), medical facilities, performance related pay, gratuity, contributory provident fund, employees pension scheme, group personal accident insurance scheme, leave encashment, leave travel concession (LTC)/ LFA, contributory superannuation benefit fund scheme, conveyance advance/ maintenance reimbursement, performance related incentives (PRP) etc 
  • The Cost-to-Company (CTC), will be about Rs 7.00 lakhs per annum inclusive of performance related pay (PRP). The actual CTC will vary depending on place of posting and also performance ratings.

Age Limit :

Maximum 26 years as on 30th June, 2013 for the general category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PWD candidates will be applicable as per the Presidential Directive.

  • Short listed candidates will be required to appear for Preliminary Online test in open environment. i.e they will use their own resource. 
  • Those who qualify this test will be required to appear for the Final Online Test in controlled environment i.e at the pre determined venues.

  • Should be conversant with the testing procedures for building materials
  • Should have adequate knowledge of planning various activities involved in projects.
  • Should be conversant with preparation of detailed estimate, measurement of items of work executed etc.

PERIOD OF CONTRACT :



The requirement is on contract basis initially for ONE YEAR and extendable up to a maximum of 3 years at the discretion of BEL.

REMUNERATION :



An all-inclusive consolidated remuneration of `15,000/- p.m for the candidates possessing experience upto 3 years of relevant experience and `20,000/- p.m for 3 years and above.

SELECTION PROCESS : 


Selection will be through a Written test / Interview.
  • Candidates will be permitted to take Written test / Interview subject to fulfilling the above criteria.
  • Candidates are required to produce all Original certificates, SSLC Marks Card, Bachelor's Degree marks card, Provisional Degree Certificates and Semester-wise certificates, relevant Experience Certificates (in the event of candidate not able to produce the Experience Certificate, Appointment Letter and the latest Pay Slips of the Company in original should be produced) and a Photostat copy of each of the above and Two recent passport size color photograph, before written test for verification.
  • Age and Experience will be counted as on 01.05.2013.
  • Candidates not having relevant Certificates for whatever reason will NOT be considered.
  • Candidates are requested to make their own arrangements in the event of the interviews being conducted on the next day.

General Conditions :

  • Only Indian Nationals need to apply.
  • SC/ST/OBC/PWD Candidates are required to submit their category certificate only in the Govt. of India prescribed format.
  • Candidates have to download the enclosed Bio-Data form and submit the duly filled in form along with the Photostat copies at the time of the Written test / Interview.
  • BEL reserves the right to debar/ disqualify any candidates at any stage of the selection proceedings, for any reason whatsoever; Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Ltd, a Joint Venture company with equity participation from Govt. of India and Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of the rail based Mass Rapid Transit System for Delhi.
